Ny Oh (UK/NZ)

Ny Oh is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music  feels suspended between the elemental and the otherworldly. Born in  Worcestershire, UK, raised in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and now based  among the canyons of Topanga, Ny’s sound draws from folk, psychedelia,  jazz and experimental music. She creates songs that are intimate yet  expansive—rooted in the natural world, but always reaching toward  something beyond it.  

Ny left New Zealand for London at 18, beginning a musical life that  would eventually carry her from underground clubs to some of the  world’s largest stages. After fronting the adventurous jazz outfit  Neon Gru, she embarked on her solo career, touring with Jonathan  Wilson and developing a live presence built around the elasticity of  her voice and instinctive musicianship. Along the way, she became a  sought-after collaborator, working with artists including Margo Price  and Madison Cunningham before joining Harry Styles’ record-breaking  stadium tours as a backing vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.  

Yet at the center of Ny Oh’s work is something quieter: a fascination  with nature, transformation and the unseen forces that connect us. Her  upbringing in Aotearoa instilled an enduring reverence for the  landscape, and her songwriting carries that sensibility—patient,  observant and spiritually curious. Whether performing to a room of a  hundred people or a stadium of tens of thousands, her music retains  the feeling of something deeply personal being revealed in real time.  

That world came fully into focus on her debut album, Wildwood, an  immersive collection shaped by years of movement, collaboration and  artistic exploration. Praised by NME, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 1 and  BBC 6 Music, the album earned Ny Oh Best Folk Artist at the 2026  Aotearoa Music Awards. Now entering a new chapter from her home in  Topanga Canyon, Ny Oh is expanding that world further—creating music  that feels timeless yet entirely her own.
