Nicola Mitchell (NZ)

Nicola Mitchell (Waikato/Tainui Ngāti Maniapoto) is an award-winning folk/country artist who plays warm rich trio shows filled with storytelling, dark americana sounds & a touch of bluegrass. Growing up in a home overflowing with songs by Dolly Parton, Tom T. Hall & Patsy Cline; Nicola's sound is inspired by old school country with a touch of waiata Māori.

Nicola has also just released a project for tamariki called Niccolo Piccolo - an interactive, action packed, adventure for tamariki to learn te reo Māori through original bilingual waiata and learn in a fun safe space.

Whether you're singing like Tama te Tūī or Flying like Katie the Kea there's fun for everyone who wants to hop on the waka.
