Butter Wouldn’t Melt

Butter Wouldn’t Melt blend folk, americana bluegrass, and country influences with a distinctly New Zealand flavour, promising an evocative performance defined by their poetic lyricism, powerful harmonies and thought provoking stories.

The band includes Andrea Reid (Vocals and rhythm guitar), Nick Burfield (Vocals and lead guitar), Cara Brasted (Fiddle and vocals),and Marz Connelly (Double bass and vocals).

Based in Wellington, the group has recently completed a sold-out tour of the north island in the build up to their sophomore album, 'Where the Roots Grow Deep', released August 9th. Where the roots grow deep is the first part of the two part project, with the follow up 'Beneath the stars above' scheduled for release in early 2026.
